How to get ZYB into your Ubiquity
We’re big fans of Mozilla Ubiquity. We use it for Twitter, Wikipedia, even translations. But where’s ZYB? Well, last night Adam hacked together this handy Ubiquity command:
Click to install ZYB in Ubiquity
Not sure what this is? Here’s a demo.

You guys so need to fix the authentication in the website. I can log in via mobile ok so the username/password are correct. But when I log into the website, with a brand new install of Firefox (therefore, no cookie history), after providing the correct username and password, I just end up at the homepage again with the ‘login’ link still showing.
If I provide the incorrect username/password it informs me accordingly of the error - so the logic is clearly checking the username/password pair but then failing to set the authenticated session.
This has been an ongoing problem for over 4 months. I know I’m not the only one to have this problem.
Tried it on several computers, several browsers.

Hi Chas,
This isnt an authentication issue, its a cookie issue.
We have tried to reproduce the issue you experienced, and with normal browser settings, we have not been able to.
However, when we increased the security level of our systems, e.g. with a third party application, we noticed that cookies are occassionally blocked, and this causes the log in page to “jump back” even though your log in details were correct. Other users have also confirmed that this was the case.
Could you please confirm that you are using such an application, and if possible, tell us which one? We will then try and work out how to add ZYB as a “trusted site” which will resolve the issue. Please also note that your ISP may also be blocking cookies at their level, which nis unlikely, but possible.
Thanks, Adam
